Three individuals have been charged and one suspect is still wanted in connection with the death of a woman in a Winnipeg apartment.
According to police, the incident occurred on Monday evening in the 500 block of Furby Street. Officers responded to a report of a woman in medical distress and upon arrival, found the victim unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
After an investigation, three individuals were arrested and charged with second-degree murder. They have been identified as 27-year-old Kaitlyn Flett, 25-year-old Dwayne Simard, and 26-year-old Tyler Flett. All three are from Winnipeg.
Police are also searching for a fourth suspect, 27-year-old Dwayne Simard, who is wanted for second-degree murder.
The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Crystal Andrews, who was known to the suspects.
The cause of death has not been released, but police have confirmed that it was not a random act and that the victim and suspects were known to each other.
The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information to come forward. They are also reminding the public that anyone who may be in danger should call 911 immediately.
