Twelve outstanding individuals have been recognized for their exceptional contributions to the province of British Columbia. On July 26, 2024, the Order of British Columbia recipients were announced by Lieutenant Governor Janet Austin.
The Order of British Columbia is the highest honour bestowed upon individuals in the province. It recognizes those who have demonstrated excellence and achievement in their respective fields, as well as those who have made significant contributions to their communities.
Among the 12 recipients is Dr. Sarah Johnson, a renowned neurosurgeon who has dedicated her career to improving the lives of patients with brain injuries. Her groundbreaking research and innovative surgical techniques have earned her international recognition.
Another recipient is Mr. David Wong, a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist who has made significant contributions to the arts and culture scene in British Columbia.
