The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk has welcomed a new executive director to lead the organization. After an extensive search, the board of directors has appointed Lisa MacLeod to take the reins and guide the CMHA in its mission to promote mental health and support those living with mental illness.
MacLeod brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her new role. She has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, including working as a clinician, educator, and advocate. She has also held various leadership positions in the healthcare sector, making her a valuable addition to the CMHA team.
In her new role, MacLeod will be responsible for overseeing the operations and strategic direction of the CMHA Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk. This includes managing programs and services, developing partnerships, and advocating for mental health awareness and support in the community.
“I am honored to join the CMHA Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk team and continue the important work of promoting mental health and supporting those in need,” said MacLeod. “I am committed to working collaboratively with our staff, volunteers, and community partners to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness.”
The CMHA Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk is a non-profit organization that has been serving the community for over 50 years. It offers a range of programs and services, including crisis support, housing support, and education and training. The organization also works to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness and promote mental health through community events and initiatives.
“We are thrilled to have Lisa join our team as the new executive director,” said CMHA Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk board chair, John Smith. “Her extensive experience and passion for mental health will be invaluable in leading our organization and making a positive impact in our community.”
MacLeod’s appointment comes at a crucial time as the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of mental health support. The CMHA Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk has been working tirelessly to adapt its services and provide virtual support to those in need during these challenging times.
With MacLeod at the helm, the CMHA Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk is well-positioned to continue its vital work and make a difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness.
