Police are currently investigating after a person was found dead in Caledon on Monday morning.
According to authorities, officers were called to a residence on Humber Station Road around 9:30 a.m. for a report of a deceased individual. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of a person inside the home.
The identity of the deceased has not been released at this time, and police have not provided any information on the cause of death.
The area has been cordoned off as investigators continue to gather evidence and speak to potential witnesses. The Ontario Provincial Police’s Forensic Identification Services unit has also been called in to assist with the investigation.
Residents in the area have expressed shock and concern over the incident, with many saying that Caledon is typically a quiet and safe community.
