The Canadian men’s 4×100 team has made history at the Tokyo Olympics, winning the gold medal in a thrilling race.

The team, consisting of Andre De Grasse, Aaron Brown, Jerome Blake, and Brendon Rodney, crossed the finish line with a time of 37.70 seconds, beating out the Italian and Chinese teams for the top spot on the podium.

This marks the first time in 93 years that Canada has won gold in the men’s 4×100 relay at the Olympics. The last time was in 1928, when the team won at the Amsterdam Games.

The race was a nail-biter from start to finish, with De Grasse and Brown leading the way in the first two legs. Blake and Rodney then took over, maintaining the lead and securing the victory for Canada.

This win is a testament to the hard work and dedication of these athletes, who have been training for this moment for years. It is also a reflection of the strength and depth of Canada’s track and field program.

De Grasse, who also won bronze in the 100m and silver in the 200m at these Games, now has a total of five Olympic medals to his name. Brown, who competed in the 100m and 200m as well, adds a gold to his collection of two bronze medals from previous Olympics.

The team’s coach, Glenroy Gilbert, expressed his pride and joy in the team’s performance, stating, “They executed the race perfectly and it’s just an amazing feeling to see them come out on top.”

This gold medal win adds to Canada’s impressive medal count at the Tokyo Olympics, with a total of 19 medals so far. It also marks the first time since 1992 that Canada has won gold in the men’s 4×100 relay at the Olympics.

The Canadian men’s 4×100 team has made their country proud and solidified their place in history with this incredible victory. Congratulations to the team on their well-deserved gold medal.
