The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in a fatal shooting that occurred east of Calgary.
According to authorities, the incident took place on the evening of January 9, 2022, in the community of Chestermere. The victim, identified as 35-year-old John Smith, was found with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The RCMP have released a surveillance photo of a man who they believe may have information about the shooting. The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 6 feet tall, with a medium build and short dark hair. He was seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and black shoes.
