Saskatoon, SK – The annual Show and Shine event in Saskatoon drew a record-breaking crowd this past weekend, with car enthusiasts from all over the province flocking to the city to admire the impressive display of vehicles.
The event, which took place at the Saskatoon Prairieland Park, featured over 500 cars, trucks, and motorcycles, ranging from vintage classics to modern sports cars. Attendees were treated to a feast for the eyes as they strolled through the rows of meticulously maintained vehicles, each one a unique work of art.
Organizers were thrilled with the turnout, noting that this year’s event saw a significant increase in attendance compared to previous years. “We are blown away by the support and enthusiasm from the community,” said event coordinator, Sarah Johnson. “It’s amazing to see so many people come together to celebrate their love for cars.”
In addition to the impressive display of vehicles, the event also featured live music, food trucks, and various vendors selling car-related merchandise. Families and children were also entertained with a kids’ zone, complete with face painting and games.
One of the highlights of the event was the “People’s Choice” award, where attendees were able to vote for their favorite vehicle. This year’s winner was a stunning 1967 Chevrolet Camaro, owned by local car enthusiast, Mark Thompson. “I am honored to have won this award among so many incredible cars,” said Thompson. “It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication that goes into maintaining these vehicles.”
The Show and Shine event not only provided a fun day out for car enthusiasts but also served as a fundraiser for local charities. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Saskatoon Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Saskatoon Food Bank.
As the day came to a close, attendees were already looking forward to next year’s event, with many expressing their excitement and gratitude for such a well-organized and enjoyable event.
The success of this year’s Show and Shine event is a testament to the passion and dedication of car enthusiasts in Saskatoon and the surrounding areas. It’s clear that this event has become a beloved tradition in the community, and we can’t wait to see what next year’s event will bring.
