A serious collision in Brampton has left a man hospitalized and in critical condition.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Monday evening at the intersection of Queen Street East and Kennedy Road. The collision involved two vehicles, a sedan and a pickup truck.
Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene and upon arrival, they found the driver of the sedan, a 35-year-old man, with serious injuries. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 45-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation, but initial reports suggest that one of the vehicles may have run a red light.
The intersection was closed for several hours as police conducted their investigation and cleared the scene. It has since been reopened to traffic.
