Illegal drugs seized, man charged after search of Olds, Alta., hotel room

A man has been charged after a search of a hotel room in Olds, Alberta led to the seizure of illegal drugs.

According to the RCMP, on January 5th, officers executed a search warrant at a hotel room in Olds. During the search, they discovered a significant amount of illegal drugs, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl.

The estimated street value of the drugs is approximately $10,000.

As a result of the search, 35-year-old Christopher James McLean has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.

McLean is scheduled to appear in court on February 17th.

The RCMP is reminding the public of the dangers of illegal drugs and the importance of reporting any suspicious activity to the authorities.
