Victoria Police are appealing to the public for any witnesses to come forward after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on Monday evening.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on the 500 block of Gorge Road East. According to police, the motorcyclist was travelling eastbound when they collided with a vehicle turning left onto Gorge Road from Jutland Road.
The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
At this time, it is unclear what caused the collision and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward with any information. They are particularly interested in speaking with the driver of a white SUV that was in the area at the time of the crash.
