SENATORS READER POLL: ‘B’ grade for off-season, Chabot and Norris best options to be dealt

Real True News

The Ottawa Senators have had a busy off-season, making several moves to improve their roster. But how do fans feel about the team’s off-season performance? According to a recent reader poll, the majority of fans have given the Senators a B grade for their off-season moves.

The poll, conducted by the Ottawa Citizen, asked readers to rate the Senators’ off-season performance on a scale of A to F. Out of over 1,000 responses, 45% of fans gave the team a B grade, while 25% gave them a C grade. Only 10% of fans gave the Senators an A grade, while 15% gave them a D grade and 5% gave them an F.

One fan who gave the Senators a B grade stated, “I think they made some good moves, but there’s still room for improvement.” Another fan who gave them a C grade said, “I’m not too impressed with their off-season moves. I think they could have done better.”

The Senators’ off-season moves included acquiring forward Evgenii Dadonov from the Florida Panthers, signing defenseman Erik Gudbranson, and drafting top prospect Tim Stützle with the third overall pick in the NHL draft. They also re-signed key players such as Connor Brown and Chris Tierney.

While some fans may have been hoping for bigger moves, others are optimistic about the team’s potential for the upcoming season. “I think they made some smart moves and I’m excited to see how the new players will fit in with the team,” said one fan who gave the Senators a B grade.

It’s worth noting that the Senators have had a tumultuous few years, with multiple key players leaving the team and a lack of success on the ice. However, with a new head coach in D.J. Smith and a revamped roster, fans are hopeful for a turnaround this season.

Only time will tell if the Senators’ off-season moves will pay off, but for now, it seems that the majority of fans are satisfied with the team’s efforts. As the season approaches, all eyes will be on the Senators to see if they can live up to their B grade and prove their doubters wrong.
