A Kelowna mother has taken a stand against teen violence by finding support from the community and local organizations.

After her son was a victim of a violent attack by a group of teenagers, the mother, who wishes to remain anonymous, decided to take action. She reached out to the Kelowna RCMP and local youth organizations to discuss ways to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.

Through her efforts, she was able to connect with the Kelowna Boys and Girls Club, who have agreed to partner with her in creating a program that focuses on educating teens about the consequences of violence.

The mother believes that education is key in preventing teen violence. She hopes that by teaching teens about the impact of their actions, they will think twice before resorting to violence.

Sergeant Jeff Carroll of the Kelowna RCMP also supports the mother’s efforts and believes that community involvement is crucial in addressing this issue. He encourages parents to have open and honest conversations with their children about the consequences of violence and to seek help if they notice any concerning behavior.

The Kelowna Boys and Girls Club is currently working on developing the program, which will include workshops, guest speakers, and interactive activities. They hope to launch the program in the coming months and make it available to all teens in the community.

The mother is grateful for the support she has received and hopes that this program will make a positive impact on the community. She also urges other parents to speak up and take action against teen violence.

The Kelowna Boys and Girls Club and the Kelowna RCMP are committed to working together to create a safer community for all. They encourage anyone with information about teen violence to come forward and report it.

Together, with the support of the community, we can make a difference and put an end to teen violence. Let’s stand together and create a safer future for our youth.
