NRPS Investigating a Weapons Call in Downtown Thorold – Update 2
Detectives from the 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) detective office of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) have been investigating this incident since the occupants surrendered to NRPS officers on October 6, 2024. The apartment unit at 64 Front Street South in Thorold was held for a search warrant by detectives. Chevron Sells Canadian Assets For $6.5 Billion
U.S. oil major Chevron (CVX) has sold some of its Alberta oil sands assets to Canadian Natural Resources (CNQ) for $6.5 billion. The sale concerns Chevron’s 20% interest in the Athabasca Oil Sands Project and a 70% holding in the Duvernay shale project, both located in Alberta.
