A driver and their company are facing charges for multiple violations after an incident on Highway 11N in Temagami.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), on Tuesday, September 14th, officers from the Temiskaming Detachment were conducting a commercial motor vehicle inspection on Highway 11N in Temagami. During the inspection, they discovered several violations and took action.
The driver, a 45-year-old individual from Quebec, was charged with operating a commercial motor vehicle without a valid CVOR certificate, failing to complete a daily inspection report, and failing to properly secure their load. The company, based in Quebec, was also charged with operating a commercial motor vehicle without a valid CVOR certificate.
The OPP reminds all commercial motor vehicle operators that it is their responsibility to ensure their vehicles are in compliance with all regulations and requirements. Failure to do so can result in serious consequences, including fines and charges.
