A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run incident in Brampton that left a 17-year-old boy with serious injuries.
According to Peel Regional Police, the incident occurred on Saturday evening at the intersection of Bovaird Drive and Main Street. The victim was crossing the street when he was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.
The victim was rushed to a trauma centre with serious injuries, including a broken leg and head trauma. He remains in stable condition.
After an investigation, police were able to locate and arrest the driver believed to be responsible for the hit-and-run. The 21-year-old man has been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm.
