Admiral Rock, Nova Scotia – A man has been charged with multiple sexual offences in the small community of Admiral Rock, Nova Scotia.
According to the RCMP, 55-year-old John Smith has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching. The alleged incidents occurred between 2015 and 2020 and involved two female victims who were under the age of 16 at the time.
The RCMP began their investigation in October 2020 after receiving a report from one of the victims. Through their investigation, they identified a second victim and gathered enough evidence to lay charges against Smith.
Smith was arrested on February 4, 2021, and appeared in court the following day. He has been released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court again on March 24, 2021.
