Group effort at Tower Ranch Golf Course saves a life

A group of golfers at Tower Ranch Golf Course in Kelowna, British Columbia, came together to save a life on Monday afternoon.

According to witnesses, a man in his 60s collapsed on the 14th hole of the course. Immediately, a group of golfers who were playing nearby rushed to his aid.

One of the golfers, John Smith, said he noticed the man lying on the ground and immediately called 911. He then ran to the man’s side and began performing CPR, while another golfer, Sarah Jones, called for help from the clubhouse.

The golf course’s general manager, Mark Johnson, also joined in the efforts to save the man’s life. He quickly grabbed the course’s automated external defibrillator (AED) and used it to shock the man’s heart back into rhythm.

Thanks to the quick actions of the golfers and the use of the AED, the man regained consciousness and was able to speak when paramedics arrived on the scene.

The man was then transported to the hospital for further treatment and is said to be in stable condition.

Johnson praised the group effort, saying, “It was a team effort and everyone did their part. We are just happy that the man is alive and doing well.”

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of knowing CPR and having access to an AED in emergency situations. The golf course has since announced that they will be offering CPR and AED training to all of their staff and members.

The identity of the man has not been released, but it is believed that he was a visitor to the golf course.

The quick thinking and actions of these golfers at Tower Ranch Golf Course undoubtedly saved a life and serves as a testament to the power of teamwork and preparedness in emergency situations.
