A tragic and disturbing discovery was made in Newfoundland as a woman’s body was found inside a suitcase, with her spouse suspected to be responsible for her death.
According to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, the woman’s body was found on Monday afternoon in the town of Conception Bay South. The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Chantel John, a resident of St. John’s.
The police were alerted to the scene after receiving a call from a concerned citizen who noticed a suspicious suitcase on the side of the road. Upon further investigation, they discovered the body of John inside.
The RNC has also confirmed that John’s spouse, 33-year-old Kirk Keeping, was found dead in a nearby wooded area. It is believed that Keeping died by suicide.
The couple had been reported missing by their family members on Sunday, and the police had been actively searching for them. The RNC has stated that they are not looking for any other suspects in connection to this case.
