A 17-year-old teenager from Winnipeg has been charged with multiple counts of breaking and entering, including at an outlet mall and other robberies.

According to police, the teenager was arrested on Wednesday and charged with breaking and entering at the Outlet Collection Winnipeg on Sterling Lyon Parkway. The incident occurred on June 6, where the suspect allegedly broke into the mall and stole merchandise from multiple stores.

In addition to the outlet mall robbery, the teenager has also been charged with breaking and entering at a business on Pembina Highway on June 4, and a convenience store on Portage Avenue on June 5. The suspect is also facing charges for theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.

Police have not released the name of the teenager, as they are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. However, they have confirmed that the suspect is known to them and has a history of similar offences.
