A man has been seriously injured in a shooting that took place in the Port Lands area of Toronto.
According to police, the incident occurred on Sunday evening at around 8:30 p.m. near Cherry and Commissioners Streets. The victim, a man in his 30s, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The Port Lands area was temporarily closed off as police conducted their investigation, causing traffic delays in the surrounding area. The closure has since been lifted and the area has been reopened to the public.
This is not the first incident of violence in the Port Lands area. In 2019, a man was fatally shot in a parking lot near Cherry and Commissioners Streets. The incident sparked concerns about safety in the area and prompted calls for increased police presence.
