A man has been hospitalized after a shooting in the Port Lands area, according to police.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening at around 8:30 p.m. near Cherry Street and Commissioners Street.
Police say the victim, a man in his 30s, was found with gunshot wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
The area has been cordoned off as officers investigate the scene. No arrests have been made at this time.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing a group of people fleeing the scene.
Police are appealing to anyone with information or video footage of the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
This is the second shooting in the Port Lands area in less than a week. Last Wednesday, a man was shot and killed in a parking lot near Cherry Street and Lake Shore Boulevard East.
The recent incidents have raised concerns about safety in the area, which is known for its industrial and recreational spaces.
