Shots fired at Surrey business: RCMP

Surrey, BC – Shots were fired at a business in Surrey on Tuesday evening, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. in the 10300 block of 152 Street. Police were called to the scene after receiving reports of gunshots being heard in the area.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a business had been targeted and multiple shots had been fired. No injuries were reported.

The Surrey RCMP’s Serious Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation and is currently working to determine the motive behind the shooting. They are also appealing to the public for any information or witnesses who may have seen or heard anything related to the incident.

“At this time, we believe this was a targeted incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public,” said Sgt. Elenore Sturko of the Surrey RCMP. “We are asking anyone with information to come forward and speak with our investigators.”

The area surrounding the business was cordoned off for several hours as police gathered evidence and conducted their investigation. The road has since been reopened to the public.
