Toronto police are currently searching for a suspect after a victim reported being sexually assaulted in the city’s east end.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Monday, March 15th, in the area of Danforth and Coxwell Avenues. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, reported the assault to police the following day.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, approximately 5’10” tall with a medium build and short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and black shoes.
Police have released a composite sketch of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him. They are also urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
In a statement, Detective Constable Sarah Diamond said, “We take all reports of sexual assault seriously and are actively investigating this incident. We are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed anything suspicious to contact us.”
The Toronto Police Service’s Sex Crimes Unit is leading the investigation, and they are reminding the public to always be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
