The town of Okotoks, Alberta has once again proven its dominance in the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) as they claimed their third consecutive title on Sunday night. The championship game was a nail-biter until the very end, with Okotoks ultimately securing the win with a dramatic walk-off home run from Connor Crowson in the 9th inning.
The game, which took place at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks, was a highly anticipated event as the hometown team faced off against the Regina Red Sox. Both teams had a strong season, with Okotoks finishing with a record of 35-11 and Regina with a record of 31-15.
The game started off with a strong showing from Regina, who took an early lead with a 2-run home run in the 2nd inning. However, Okotoks quickly responded with a 3-run homer from Crowson in the 3rd inning, giving them a 3-2 lead.
