A shooting in the St. James Town neighborhood has left one person injured and in hospital, according to police.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening near Wellesley and Ontario streets. Police were called to the scene at around 8:30 p.m. after reports of gunshots being fired.
Upon arrival, officers found one victim with gunshot wounds. The individual was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their current condition is unknown.
Police have not released any information about the suspect or suspects involved in the shooting. They are currently investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
The area has been cordoned off as police continue their investigation. Residents are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
