The Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) has recently launched a new program called Broker Launchpad Weekday, designed to help aspiring brokers obtain their Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) Level 1 and 2 licenses.
The program, which is set to begin on September 14, 2020, will be offered on weekdays, making it more accessible for individuals who are unable to attend evening or weekend classes. It will also be available online, allowing students to learn at their own pace and convenience.
According to IBAO CEO Colin Simpson, the Broker Launchpad Weekday program was created in response to the growing demand for licensed brokers in the insurance industry. He believes that this program will provide a more flexible and efficient way for individuals to obtain their RIBO licenses.
The program will consist of two courses, with the first course focusing on RIBO Level 1 and the second course on RIBO Level 2. Each course will be six weeks long and will cover all the necessary material for the RIBO exams. Students will also have access to online resources and support from experienced instructors.
In addition, the program will include a final exam preparation session to help students feel confident and prepared for their RIBO exams. Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a certificate of completion from IBAO, which can be used as proof of education when applying for their RIBO licenses.
The Broker Launchpad Weekday program is open to anyone interested in becoming a licensed broker, regardless of their previous education or work experience. However, it is recommended that students have a basic understanding of insurance principles and terminology before enrolling in the program.
IBAO is committed to providing quality education and training for insurance professionals, and the Broker Launchpad Weekday program is just one of the many initiatives they have implemented to support the growth and development of the industry.
Interested individuals can register for the program on the IBAO website. With the launch of this new program, IBAO hopes to make the process of obtaining a RIBO license more accessible and convenient for aspiring brokers, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the insurance industry in Ontario.
