Kelowna, BC – Freedom’s Door, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals struggling with addiction, has recently announced the expansion of their recovery programs in Kelowna.
The organization, which has been providing support and resources to those in need since 2007, has seen a significant increase in demand for their services in the past year. With the ongoing pandemic and its impact on mental health and substance abuse, Freedom’s Door recognized the need to expand their programs to meet the growing need in the community.
The new expansion includes the addition of a second recovery house, which will provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to continue their journey towards sobriety. The house will have a capacity of 12 residents and will offer a structured program that includes counseling, life skills training, and peer support.
In addition to the new recovery house, Freedom’s Door has also expanded their outpatient services. This will allow individuals who are not able to commit to a residential program to still receive support and resources to aid in their recovery. The outpatient services will include individual and group counseling, as well as access to community resources and support groups.
