A tragic accident occurred in Sainte-Geneviève-de-Berthier, Quebec, as a woman was struck and killed by a pickup truck on Monday evening.
According to authorities, the incident took place around 6:30 p.m. on Route 158, near the intersection of Chemin de la Grande-Côte. The victim, a 45-year-old woman, was walking along the road when she was hit by the truck.
Emergency services were immediately called to the scene, but unfortunately, the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead on site. The driver of the pickup truck, a 50-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
