Five individuals have been charged in connection with a human trafficking ring operating in the Greater Toronto Area, according to police.

The investigation, which began in October 2020, uncovered a network of individuals who were allegedly involved in the trafficking of vulnerable individuals for the purpose of sexual exploitation.

The five individuals facing charges include a 31-year-old man from Toronto, a 29-year-old man from Brampton, a 27-year-old man from Mississauga, a 25-year-old woman from Toronto, and a 23-year-old woman from Toronto.

They are facing a total of 31 charges, including trafficking in persons, procuring, advertising sexual services, and assault.

Police are urging anyone who may have information about this case or any other human trafficking incidents to come forward and speak to investigators.
