Motorcyclist killed in crash on Macleod Trail

A tragic accident on Macleod Trail has claimed the life of a motorcyclist.

According to Calgary police, the crash occurred on Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Macleod Trail and 162 Avenue S. The motorcyclist, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but initial reports suggest that the motorcyclist collided with a vehicle while traveling southbound on Macleod Trail. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.

Emergency responders, including police, fire, and EMS, were called to the scene around 2:30 p.m. and closed off the area for several hours while they conducted their investigation.
