Police nab suspect in Calgary carjacking but can’t find the car

Calgary police have successfully apprehended a suspect in a recent carjacking, but the stolen vehicle remains missing.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on Monday evening in the community of Bridgeland. The victim reported that they were approached by an individual who demanded their vehicle at gunpoint. The suspect then fled the scene in the stolen car.

After receiving a description of the suspect and the stolen vehicle, police launched a search and were able to locate and arrest the suspect on Tuesday morning. The individual, whose identity has not been released, is facing charges of robbery with a firearm and possession of stolen property.

However, despite the suspect’s arrest, the stolen vehicle has yet to be recovered. Police are urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of the car, a black 2019 Honda Civic with license plate number BZC 1234, to come forward.

This incident serves as a reminder for Calgarians to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. Police also advise individuals to comply with demands in situations like this to ensure their safety.
