North Vancouver RCMP are on the hunt for a man who stole firefighter uniforms from a local launderette.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on December 15 at around 2:30 p.m. at the launderette located on Lonsdale Avenue. The suspect was caught on surveillance footage entering the establishment and taking several firefighter uniforms before leaving the scene.
The stolen uniforms belong to the North Vancouver Fire Department and are valued at approximately $1,000. The department has expressed concern over the theft, as the uniforms are essential for their daily operations and are not easily replaceable.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his 30s, approximately 5’10” tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black jacket, and dark pants. The RCMP have released images of the suspect from the surveillance footage and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
