Former BC United candidate Dr. Michael Humer is determined to continue his campaign in Kelowna Centre, despite not being elected in the recent provincial election.
Humer, a retired physician, ran as an independent candidate under the BC United party in the Kelowna Centre riding. Despite not winning the seat, he remains committed to advocating for the community and addressing important issues.
In an interview with Castanet News, Humer expressed his disappointment in not being elected but also his determination to continue his campaign. He believes that his platform, which focused on healthcare, education, and the environment, resonated with many voters in the riding.
Humer also acknowledged the challenges of running as an independent candidate, without the support and resources of a major political party. However, he remains grateful for the support he received from his team and volunteers during the campaign.
Moving forward, Humer plans to stay involved in the community and continue to advocate for the issues he is passionate about. He hopes to work with the newly elected MLA for Kelowna Centre, and other elected officials, to address the concerns of the community.
