Toronto Police have identified the victim of a fatal stabbing that occurred in the parking lot of a West Toronto restaurant on Sunday night.
According to authorities, 33-year-old John Smith was found with multiple stab wounds in the parking lot of the restaurant located on Jane Street near Lawrence Avenue West. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident took place around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, and police were called to the scene after receiving reports of a fight in progress.
Upon arrival, officers found Smith with life-threatening injuries and immediately began performing life-saving measures. However, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not yet released any information about potential suspects or a motive for the stabbing. They are appealing to the public for any information or witnesses who may have seen or heard anything related to the incident.
