The London Knights have announced their captains for the 2024-2025 season, with three players being chosen to lead the team.

After a rigorous selection process, the Knights have named forward Jack Smith as the team’s captain. Smith, who hails from Toronto, has been a standout player for the Knights since joining the team in 2022. He has consistently shown strong leadership skills both on and off the ice, making him a natural choice for the captaincy.

Joining Smith as alternate captains are defenseman Sarah Jones and forward Ryan Lee. Jones, a London native, has been with the Knights since 2021 and has proven to be a reliable and skilled player. Lee, who joined the team in 2023, has also made a significant impact on the ice and has earned the respect of his teammates.

Head coach Mike Johnson expressed his confidence in the newly appointed captains, stating, “Jack, Sarah, and Ryan have all shown exceptional leadership qualities and have earned the respect of their teammates. We have no doubt that they will lead the team with determination and integrity.”

The Knights’ management team also praised the captains, with general manager Mark Hunter stating, “We are proud to have such strong and capable leaders in Jack, Sarah, and Ryan. They embody the values and spirit of the London Knights and we have no doubt that they will represent the team with pride.”

The announcement of the captains comes as the Knights prepare for the upcoming season, with high hopes of bringing home the Memorial Cup. With the leadership of Smith, Jones, and Lee, the team is poised for success both on and off the ice.

Fans of the London Knights can look forward to seeing their new captains in action when the season kicks off in October. Until then, the team will continue to train and prepare for what promises to be an exciting and competitive season.
