Suspects in targeted Duggan shooting sought by Edmonton police

Edmonton Police are on the hunt for suspects involved in a targeted shooting in the Duggan neighborhood.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on Monday evening at around 8:30 p.m. near 40 Avenue and 106 Street. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing a vehicle fleeing the scene.

Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

The Edmonton Police Service’s Homicide Section has taken over the investigation and is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects. They have released surveillance footage of the suspects’ vehicle, described as a dark-colored sedan, and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

This is not the first time the Duggan neighborhood has been the site of a targeted shooting. In October, a man was shot and killed in a parking lot near 40 Avenue and 106 Street.

Residents in the area are understandably concerned about the recent violence in their community. One resident, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed their shock and fear, stating, “It’s scary to think that this kind of violence is happening in our neighborhood. I hope the police are able to catch the suspects soon.”
