A suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred in northeast Edmonton.
According to police, the incident took place on December 27, 2020, at around 9:30 p.m. in the area of 118 Avenue and 34 Street. The victim, a 35-year-old man, was found with serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
After an extensive investigation, the Edmonton Police Service’s Homicide Section identified and arrested a suspect on January 6, 2021. The suspect, a 27-year-old man, has been charged with second-degree murder.
The victim’s identity has not been released at this time, pending notification of next of kin.
Police have not disclosed any information about the motive behind the stabbing or the relationship between the victim and the suspect.
