Missing 16-year-old girl sought by Calgary police

Calgary police are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing 16-year-old girl.

According to authorities, the girl, whose name has not been released, was last seen on January 5 in the community of Bridlewood. She was reported missing by her family on January 7.

Police describe the girl as being approximately 5’5″ tall with a slim build and long, dark hair. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, black leggings, and black boots.

Investigators are concerned for her well-being and are asking anyone with information on her whereabouts to come forward.

In a statement, Staff Sergeant Martin Schiavetta of the Calgary Police Service said, “We are asking anyone who may have seen this young girl or has any information on her whereabouts to contact us immediately. We want to ensure her safety and bring her home to her family.”
