The B.C. Lions are gearing up for the West Semifinal with a determined mindset, using their past struggles as motivation.

Despite facing numerous challenges throughout the season, including injuries and a coaching change, the Lions have managed to secure a spot in the playoffs. This resilience has not gone unnoticed by the team’s players and coaches.

Head coach Rick Campbell acknowledges the adversity the team has faced, but also recognizes the strength and determination it has brought out in his players. “We’ve had a lot of things thrown at us this year, but we’ve stuck together and found a way to get into the playoffs,” Campbell said.

Quarterback Michael Reilly, who has been a key player for the Lions this season, also credits the team’s ability to overcome obstacles. “We’ve had a lot of guys step up and play big roles for us,” Reilly said. “It’s been a tough season, but we’ve used that as fuel to keep pushing forward.”

The Lions will face the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the West Semifinal on Sunday, and the team is determined to continue their resilient streak. “We know it’s going to be a tough game, but we’re ready for the challenge,” Reilly stated.

The Lions have been working hard in practice, focusing on their game plan and fine-tuning their skills. “We’re not taking anything for granted,” Campbell emphasized. “We know we have to be at our best to come out on top.”

The team’s determination and perseverance have not only brought them to the playoffs, but have also earned them the respect of their opponents. Roughriders head coach Craig Dickenson praised the Lions for their resilience, stating, “They’ve been through a lot this season, but they’ve never given up. That’s a testament to their character.”

As the Lions prepare for the West Semifinal, they are using their past struggles as motivation to push through and come out on top. With their determination and resilience, they are ready to face whatever challenges come their way.
