A shooting in North York has left one person injured and in hospital, according to police.
The incident occurred on Monday evening at around 8:30 p.m. in the area of Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue West.
Police say they received multiple calls reporting gunshots in the area. When officers arrived on the scene, they found one person suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was immediately transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Their current condition is unknown.
At this time, there is no information on any suspects or a possible motive for the shooting. Police are continuing to investigate and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
