A man has been left with serious injuries after a stabbing incident in Mississauga, according to paramedics.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening at a residence on Glen Erin Drive, near Britannia Road West. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, paramedics found a man in his 30s with multiple stab wounds. He was immediately rushed to a trauma centre in critical condition.
According to Peel Regional Police, the victim was involved in an altercation with another individual, who fled the scene before authorities arrived. The suspect is described as a male in his 20s, wearing a black hoodie and dark pants.
Police are currently investigating the incident and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
The area surrounding the residence was cordoned off as officers gathered evidence and interviewed witnesses. Residents in the area were advised to avoid the area until the investigation was completed.
