Two individuals have been arrested in connection with a home invasion in Vulcan, Alberta.
According to the Vulcan RCMP, the incident occurred on January 5th at a residence on 2nd Avenue South. The suspects allegedly forced their way into the home and threatened the occupants with a weapon.
The victims were able to escape and call for help, prompting a response from the RCMP and the Vulcan County Emergency Services. The suspects fled the scene before the authorities arrived.
After an investigation, the RCMP identified and arrested two suspects on January 7th. 27-year-old Tyler James McLean of Vulcan and 25-year-old Kaitlyn Marie McLean of Lethbridge have been charged with multiple offenses, including break and enter, uttering threats, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Both suspects have been remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in court on January 11th.
The RCMP is reminding the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. They also urge residents to take precautions to secure their homes and properties.
