Holloman Airmen Take Part in 2026 CASA Big Give
Holloman Air Force Base, located in New Mexico, was abuzz with excitement as a group of dedicated Airmen participated in the 2026 CASA Big Give event. The event, which took place on October 15th, was a joint effort between the base and the local community to give back and make a positive impact.
The CASA Big Give is an annual event that aims to support the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, which provides advocacy and support for children in the foster care system. This year, the event was particularly special as it marked the 25th anniversary of the CASA program in New Mexico.
The Airmen from Holloman Air Force Base were eager to lend a helping hand and make a difference in the lives of these children. They participated in various activities, including a 5K run, a bike ride, and a golf tournament, to raise funds for the CASA program. In addition, they also volunteered their time to help with the event’s organization and logistics.
One of the highlights of the event was the presence of the 49th Wing Commander, Col. Ryan Keeney, who showed his support by participating in the 5K run. “It’s an honor to be a part of this event and support such a worthy cause,” said Col. Keeney. “Our Airmen are always ready to step up and make a positive impact in our community.”
The 2026 CASA Big Give was a huge success, with over $50,000 raised for the CASA program. This will go a long way in providing much-needed support and resources for children in the foster care system.
“This event would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our Airmen,” said Lt. Col. John Smith, the event coordinator. “Their selfless service and commitment to giving back to the community is truly inspiring.”
The Airmen of Holloman Air Force Base have once again shown their unwavering dedication to serving not only their country but also their local community. Their participation in the 2026 CASA Big Give is a testament to their values of service and making a positive impact wherever they go.
As the event came to a close, the Airmen left with a sense of fulfillment, knowing that they had made a difference in the lives of children in need. The 2026 CASA Big Give was a reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a big impact.
