Toronto man wanted for allegedly kidnapping, assaulting a woman

A Toronto man is currently wanted by authorities for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a woman.

According to police, the incident occurred on February 25th in the area of Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue. The victim, a 25-year-old woman, reported that she was approached by the suspect and forced into a vehicle against her will.

The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old John Smith. He is described as 6’2″ tall, with a medium build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and black shoes.

The victim was able to escape from the vehicle and seek help from a nearby business. She sustained minor injuries during the incident.

Police have issued a warrant for Smith’s arrest on charges of kidnapping, assault, and forcible confinement. They are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.
