Toronto FC fans were in for a treat as the Young Insurance Professionals of Toronto (YIPT) hosted a special night out at the BMO Field on July 17th.
The event, which was sponsored by Aviva Canada, brought together over 100 insurance professionals for an evening of networking and cheering on their beloved Toronto FC team as they took on the New York Red Bulls.
The night kicked off with a pre-game reception at the BMO Field’s private suite, where attendees had the opportunity to connect with colleagues and industry peers while enjoying delicious food and drinks.
As the game began, the energy in the suite was palpable as everyone cheered on the Toronto FC players. The game was intense, with both teams putting up a strong fight. However, it was Toronto FC who came out on top with a 3-1 victory over the New York Red Bulls.
YIPT President, Sarah Stevens, expressed her excitement for the event, stating, “We are thrilled to have had such a great turnout for our Toronto FC night out. It’s always a pleasure to bring together insurance professionals for a fun and memorable evening.”
The event also included a raffle draw, with all proceeds going towards the YIPT’s charity of choice, the Insurance Institute of Ontario’s Career Connections program. This program provides financial assistance to students pursuing a career in the insurance industry.
Aviva Canada’s Vice President of Broker Distribution, Jason Storah, commented on the importance of supporting young professionals in the industry, saying, “We are proud to sponsor this event and support the YIPT in their efforts to bring together the next generation of insurance leaders.”
As the game came to an end, attendees left the BMO Field with a sense of camaraderie and a memorable experience. The YIPT’s Toronto FC night out was a success, bringing together insurance professionals for a night of networking, fun, and supporting a great cause.
