Three people rescued from partially submerged vehicle: Toronto fire

Several people were rescued from a submerged vehicle in Toronto on Tuesday evening.

According to Toronto Fire Services, the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Lake Shore Boulevard West and Windermere Avenue.

Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle drive into the water and become fully submerged. Emergency crews were immediately called to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters quickly entered the water and were able to rescue all occupants from the vehicle. It is unclear at this time how many people were inside the vehicle.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported and all individuals were safely brought to shore. They were then assessed by paramedics and did not require any further medical attention.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation. It is also unclear at this time how the vehicle ended up in the water.

Toronto Fire Services is reminding the public to always exercise caution when driving near bodies of water, especially during inclement weather conditions.
