The new twin-pad arena, which will be located at the Steve Omischl Sports Complex, is a highly anticipated addition to the city’s recreational facilities. It will feature two NHL-sized ice rinks, as well as modern amenities such as a walking track, fitness center, and community rooms.

According to Mayor Al McDonald, the selection of EllisDon is a significant step towards the realization of this much-needed facility. “We are confident that EllisDon’s expertise and experience will result in a top-notch arena that will serve our community for years to come,” he stated.

EllisDon, a leading construction and building services company, has a strong track record of delivering successful projects across Canada. Their portfolio includes the construction of several sports facilities, including the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto and the Rogers Place in Edmonton.

The new twin-pad arena is set to become a hub for sports and recreation in North Bay, providing a modern and inclusive space for residents of all ages to enjoy. With the selection of EllisDon as the builder, the city is one step closer to making this vision a reality.
