A stranger attempted to lure an 11-year-old girl in East Vancouver, according to police.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon, near the intersection of East 22nd Avenue and Commercial Drive. The young girl was walking alone when a man approached her and tried to convince her to come with him.
The girl immediately ran away and reported the incident to her parents, who then contacted the police. The suspect was described as a Caucasian man in his 40s, with a medium build and short brown hair. He was wearing a black jacket and black pants at the time of the incident.
The Vancouver Police Department is now asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. They have released a composite sketch of the man and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
