A crowd gathered along Highway 11 to watch this Saskatoon house fire

A large crowd gathered along Highway 11 in Saskatoon to witness a devastating house fire on Saturday evening.

The fire broke out at a residence on the 300 block of Avenue W South, with flames quickly engulfing the entire structure. The Saskatoon Fire Department was alerted to the blaze at around 6:30 p.m. and arrived on the scene shortly after.

According to witnesses, the fire spread rapidly, with thick black smoke billowing into the sky. Many onlookers expressed shock and concern for the safety of those inside the burning home.

Firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighboring properties. Despite their efforts, the house was completely destroyed by the fire.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported, as the occupants of the home were able to escape safely. However, they have been displaced from their residence and are receiving support from the Red Cross.
