A Windsor man has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run incident that occurred in Guelph in 2023, according to Guelph Police.
The incident took place on the evening of June 15, 2023, when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Gordon Street near Kortright Road. The victim, a 32-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
After an extensive investigation, Guelph Police have charged 45-year-old John Smith of Windsor with failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm. Smith is scheduled to appear in court on August 10, 2023.
